Practice 360 is the software LegalSoft built for US law firms, and the platform LegalSoft runs its own business on. A firm uses it for clients and leads, the calendar, phone lines and texting, support tickets, e-signature forms, billing, HR and even printed mail, and can give its own clients a mobile app under the firm's name. More than a thousand law firms were onboarded onto it.

It started with a landing page. In 2016 I took part in a Startup Weekend in Tehran, and years later a teammate from that weekend called with a small job: a landing page for LegalSoft. The client was happy, and the question came back: what else can you do? LegalSoft had hired a company to build an accident-intake app that personal-injury lawyers would give their clients under their own name, and the contractor was not delivering. I told them so, and they asked me to build it instead. I had never built a mobile app, so I hired someone who had, and together we built the platform and the apps. Then every firm wanted its app a little different, and we proposed an app builder to Hamid, LegalSoft's founder. That became Practice 360, and Hamid kept adding whatever the market asked for.

Three groups lived in it every day. Inside LegalSoft, client success managers, operations managers and the virtual staff did their work through it. The virtual staff are the remote assistants and paralegals LegalSoft places inside law firms. Inside the firms, lawyers and their teams handled calls, texts, intake, documents and forms, and added the modules they needed from a marketplace. And the firms' clients used the branded app to check on their case, send documents and message their lawyer. During COVID, when lawyers were suddenly working from home, the live chat we added to those apps is how they kept talking to their clients.

I was Head of Development from 2018 to January 2025, leading a team of five and mentoring more than ten junior developers. The hard part was the growth itself. Hamid said yes to what the market wanted, and my job was to keep the architecture standing while it grew: nine levels of access, and every firm's data kept apart from every other's. The white-label app service sold more than a hundred times. All of it was written by hand, before AI wrote code. It is my biggest luck and my biggest honour as a developer.
